The ''Santa Sleigh'' was designed and constructed by car repair and restoration company Autofocus in the city of Nelson on New Zealand's South Island. This is where the creative team had shot their previous picture 'Kiwi Flyer' (2012) (aka 'Derby Dogs'). Once completed, it was transported to Auckland via a motor-home vehicle utilizing a bespoke-built trailer to safely freight one of the film's most colourful characters. Reportedly, the post-shoot life of the ''Santa Sleigh'' is that it will be used for the annual Christmas Parade in Auckland.
