In the scene where Fred tells Wilma that he lent the money to Barney and Betty, when Fred is sitting on the recliner, the front page of the stone newspaper he's holding says "Pterodactyl Crashes in Andes and Eats Rugby Team to Survive". This is a reference to the Crash of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 in 1972, where the uruguayan rugby team called Old Christians Club crashed in the Andes and the survivors had to appeal to eat their dead friend's bodies to survive. Said event inspired the film Alive, by Frank Marshall, which premiered in 1993, the year before this movie.
