Though it is not mentioned in the movie, Marcus Luttrell was personally awarded the Navy Cross by President George W. Bush. Lieutenant Michael Murphy would be awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously. Axelson and Dietz were also awarded the Navy Cross posthumously.
