the axe charges on the throat of a godzilla etched on the floor. The 1st time Kong charges the axe, it is done on the throat of a godzilla marked on the floor beneath the throne. This foreshadows how a godzilla could charge the axe (since they have the same energy source apparently), which it does at the end in the Mechagodzilla fight.
