In I Love You, Man (2009) Segel's character quotes Andre's line from La storia fantastica (1987),"Anybody want a peanut?" to Paul Rudd's character. In Il Saturday Night Live: Jason Segel/Florence and the Machine (2011), Segel imitates him in the segment 'Andre the Giant Chooses An Ice Cream Flavor.'
