In Season 2, Rubberband Man revealed that Ebon was actually his brother, Ivan. Since Rubberband Man and Ebon were both brothers and could both stretch their bodies, it is possible that the effects of the Big Bang gas may have had something to do with the genetic code of the person affected by it.
