This show included several references to "Star Wars" character Lando Calrissian, played by Billy Dee Williams in L'Impero colpisce ancora (1980), Il ritorno dello Jedi (1983), and Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019). Donald Glover, who got his big break when he was hired as a writer for this show in 2006, portrayed a young Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018).
