Tom Mankiewicz wrote a script for this movie which was not used. Apparently, sections of it ended up in Octopussy - Operazione piovra (1983) (the Acrostar jet sequence and the knife-throwing twins) and 007 - Bersaglio mobile (1985) (the Eiffel Tower sequence). Mankiewicz wrote scripts for Agente 007 - Una cascata di diamanti (1971), Agente 007 - Vivi e lascia morire (1973), and Agente 007 - L'uomo dalla pistola d'oro (1974).
