Henry Darrow, who provides the voice of Zorro/Don Diego in this series, played the elderly Zorro/Don Diego in Zorro and Son (1983). He also played Don Alejandro, Don Diego's father, in Zorro (1990). Don Diamond, who voices the bumbling Sgt. Gonzales in this series, played Corporal Reyes, another bumbling soldier, in Zorro (1957).
