The movie curiously opens with a black-and-white sequence in which Jimmy Durante is performing "Ink A Dinka Doo". The reason for this is unexplained until thirty-five minutes into the film, in which Little Danny performs the routine for his Uncle Joe. Michael J. Fox, as the older Daniel, also performs the song, making its occurrence sung and danced to in the movie total to three times.
