In the segment "Planet Terror" the soldiers at the Army base are seen watching a "grindhouse" trailer for the film Rivelazioni di un'evasa da un carcere femminile (1971), starring Pam Grier. This full trailer, and more, were put on the Special Edition DVD of Jackie Brown (1997), directed by Quentin Tarantino, whose character watches the trailer briefly in the scene.
