Dennis Miller shot the movie at the same time he was doing his HBO talk show "Dennis Miller Live". To accommodate Miller's schedule, the filmmakers forced the crew to work weekends and have their weekend days off during the week, which caused tension between the crew and filmmakers as well as tension between the crew and Dennis Miller.
