James Horner had several other scores for other movies the same year as this including Braveheart - Cuore impavido (1995), Apollo 13 (1995), Jumanji (1995), Casper (1995) and Balto (1995). His score in this film is mixed with the song The Mystic's Dream by Loreena McKennitt and it sounds similar to his other scores in Danko (1988) and Cuore di tuono (1992). Horner was chosen in part by the studio who loved the score of Braveheart that he did for them and Mel Gibson. Also William Friedkin wanted to have a chance to work with Horner since he admired his work in other films.
