When Duke Weaselton is about to be iced at Mr. Big's place, he says "They offered me what I couldn't refuse. Money", a clear reference to the famous dialogue said by Marlon Brando's character Don Corleone, "I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse." from Il padrino (1972). In the earlier context, it actually meant that he was going to threaten to kill someone in order to get them to do what he wanted.
