Walker was always referred to by his Uncle Ray as "Wa-sho", which in Cherokee means "Lone Eagle". This nickname started with Uncle Ray, and ended up spreading throughout the Cherokee nation. Everytime Walker talked with a native American, they referred to him as "Wa-sho".
