For her widely criticised performance in this film, Sofia Coppola "won" two Razzie Awards (for Worst Supporting Actress and Worst New Star). At the time, the performance also set a new record for the percentage of votes received by any actor or actress in Golden Raspberry Awards history. In a field of five contenders, the performance took over 65% of Razzie members' votes in both categories.
