The paintings created by Jessica's new super/love interest Oscar in season 2 are actually painted by renowned comic artist David Mack. Mack has provided all of the cover art for the original Alias comic book series, as well as the newest Jessica Jones comic book series. The highly stylized title sequence for this series is based on Mack's artwork.
