For the scene at the strip club, Martin Brest went back to his film school days in an effort to get all the shots he needed regarding who everyone in the scene is looking at even though they were long distances from one another. He also watched scenes from 48 Hrs. (1982) in preparation for this scene, because he liked how Walter Hill shot the bar scenes in that film.
