Giselle, who appeared in the episode Pokémon: The School of Hard Knocks (1997), was the only girl that Ash found attractive enough in the entire series to abandon his usual indifference towards romance. Although some might argue that some of the other characters have also made him feel this way, Giselle is, so far, the only inarguable one. In addition, Giselle was also the only girl younger than Brock that he found attractive during all the series.
