When Harley kills Silvio Luna, she says, "Recently, I made a promise to myself that the next time I got a boyfriend, I'd be on the lookout for red flags." This is about as close as the film gets to acknowledging the events of Harley's previous DC movie appearance in Birds of Prey e la fantasmagorica rinascita di Harley Quinn (2020), where she finally got over her relationship with The Joker and became (very) slightly less deranged in the process.
