One story idea had Tony Stark exploring his complicated relationship with his father, which would've had Howard appear more often in Tony's life and set Tony on a different path in life. This ultimately got shafted because there was already an episode that heavily involved Iron Man, though A.C. Bradley expressed hope at getting that idea and others into Season 2.
