During the first two seasons of the series, Craig McCracken, Butch Hartman, Seth MacFarlane, Rob Renzetti, Larry Huber and Greg Miller left to work on other shows. McCracken left to work on Le superchicche (1998), which premiered in five months. MacFarlane left to work on I Griffin (1999) on the following year. Hartman went to work on Due Fantagenitori (2001) after the show left. Huber went to work on ChalkZone (2002) after the series left. Miller went to work on Che fine ha fatto... Robot Jones? (2002) after the show left. Renzetti went to work on My Life as a Teenage Robot (2002) after the show left. Due to the popularity of the series and the movie Dexter's Laboratory: Ego Trip (1999), creator Genndy Tartakovsky went to work on Samurai Jack (2001) and Star Wars: Clone Wars (2003) after the series left. He was replaced by Chris Savino in the third and fourth seasons (who was a writer and a storyboard artist in the previous season 2 episodes) in November 2001 until late 2003 after the AOL Time Warner merger.
