Sensing some awkwardness with one another, Bob Saget, John Stamos and Dave Coulier went on a road trip to Las Vegas after the first season ended to help develop chemistry, in particular with Stamos, since Saget and Coulier were friends prior to the show. Stamos and Coulier, both single at the time, really bonded during the trip and went on double dates together, while Saget, married at the time, stayed behind. The result was Stamos and Coulier becoming good friends and the writers incorporating this new dynamic in future seasons, with the two working together (first in advertising, later as a radio evening show) and sharing many more scenes on the show together.
