The mine belongs to the Shandor Mining Co. In Ghostbusters (Acchiappafantasmi) (1984), Ivo Shandor is mentioned as the architect who designed the building that Dana Barrett lives in on Central Park West. This is the first movie featuring Shandor. He also appeared in Ghostbusters (2009).
