The type of landmine encountered at the factory is a PP Mi- Sr bounding fragmentation mine with an MUV-2 fuse. They are placed facing each other in order to inflict maximum damage to anyone passing between them.The use of landmines in Bosnia and Herzegovina's began in 1992. By 1996, some two million land mines and unexploded munitions littered Bosnia.
