Ammit is the divine being who eats the dead whom the gods have judged as unworthy of entering the Afterlife, those whose hearts outweigh the feather of Ma'at. She has the head of a crocodile, the torso of a lion and the hindquarters of a hippo, the largest "man-killing" animals on the continent.
