The job held by all the main characters is a forensic investigator. Historically, the first to be considered a forensic investigator is Greek scientist and mathematician Archimedes (287-212 BC), who was hired by King Hiero II (308-215 BC) to determine if the crown that the artisan forged for him was totally made of gold or if the artisan kept part of gold for himself, but without damage the own crown. Taking a bath in a bathtub, Archimedes discovered the principle that bears his name (amount of water displaced by mass when it's submerged). Consequentely, Archimedes submerged the crown in water with an equivalent pieces of gold and silver, concluding that the artisan did fraud in the making of the crown.
