In 2019 interviews, Alyson Hannigan claimed that fans of "American Pie" still approach her in public by quoting Michelle's signature line, "This one time, at band camp...". Hannigan said she was OK with this, as long as people don't say the sexually explicit ending of that line - especially when her two daughters are with her.
