The fantasy romantic comedies "Ho sposato una strega (1942)" and "Una strega in paradiso (1958)" are strikingly similar to this show. Copyright issues were avoided, however, because both movies were owned by "Columbia Pictures," of which this show's production company, "Screen Gems," is a division.
