When Nigel first tells Eliza about the solar eclipse, he said it would happen in a few weeks. But when Eliza comes back after escaping her bordering school, she said the eclipse will happen tomorrow. So that's a writing error. The eclipse actually happen in five days. Eliza goes to bordering school (Day 1), Eliza and Darwin returns to Africa (Day 2), Eliza saves a rhino (Day 3), Eliza returns to her family's camp (Day 4) and the Eclipse (Day 5). Although it is possible that the movie only covers a few days out of the few weeks between Eliza learning about the eclipse and the actual event.
