An alternative ending has Angela leaving the attic and being attacked by Mrs. Izquierdo (the old lady). Another one has her coming downstairs in the dark, trying to make it through the infected residents while they are in numb state. She is then killed by one of them. A similar sequence is seen in [Rec]³ - La genesi (2012), wherein Clara and Koldo walk through their infected relatives, paralyzed by the Priest's prayers.
