Megatron crashed in the Arctic and was frozen there for centuries. This is the third time in the saga that Transformers have been featured buried in the Arctic. The first was Transformers (1984) when the Transformer Jetfire was discovered, and the second was Transformers: Cybertron (2005) where a Decepticon prison was breached.
