Even though Jesse Hall doesn't make an appearance (besides very briefly in flashbacks at the beginning of this film), it seems as if Charlie has been given attributes, that Jesse once possessed: Charlie is now one of the best players (after being one of the worst in the first two films), he leads the Flying V against opposing teams, he calls Banks Cake Eater and also has an bad temper and rebellious nature, all traits Charlie did not have in the first two films.
