The series shares many commonalities with Mad Men (2007). Christopher Meloni played a military veteran, Gene Jenkinson, who was in an accident, shed his real name to fake his own death, and took a new name, Jonas Jorgensen. This echos the character arc of Don Draper (Dick Whitman), the Jon Hamm character from Mad Men (2007). The Camp Tiger Claw dance is uncannily similar to Roger's Garden Party in season three of Mad Men (2007), with everyone wearing bright, Kentucky Derby colors, and even dancing to a Foxtrot. Both shows featured Jon Hamm, John Slattery, Rich Sommer, and Marguerite Moreau.
