Blake Harrison was set to replace Joel Fry for the fourth series but negotiations fell through as Harrison claimed the character written for him shared the same characteristics as Neil from The Inbetweeners (a character in which Harrison portrayed from 2008-2011, 2014), after a second draft was created, the character still had the same similarities and Pointing was cast instead.
