In the book, doctors Frank Hopper, Eva Rojas, and the other WHO scientists are brought to Tebezza, Yves Massarde's slave mines, and imprisoned there. Eva spends most of the book on her own adventure apart from Pitt and Giordino, which is in stark contrast to the movie, where she spends most of the runtime with them.
