Screenwriter Adam Herz wrote the original screenplay in just six weeks. For research, he watched Porky's - Questi pazzi pazzi porcelloni! (1981) and Bachelor Party (Addio al celibato) (1984) repeatedly to study the comedy in those movies which were, similarly, sex-obsessed.
