At one point Rose fires her blaster at Captain Phasma but the shot harmlessly glances off her armor, marking the first time in a Star Wars film that stormtrooper armor has successfully kept the person wearing it safe. This is because (according to Star Wars - Il risveglio della Forza (2015) novel) Phasma's armor is not Standard Issue, but, rather, custom made by the character out the hull of a Naboo ship.
