The White House set used in the final scenes of the movie is the same set used in the final scenes of 1942's Ribalta di gloria (1942), including the long, wide staircase which George M. Cohan ( James Cagney ) tap-danced down after receiving his Congressional Gold Medal from President Roosevelt.
