In an article published in Sydney's 'Sun-Herald' newspaper in an article published on 9th August 1981, actress Angela Punch-McGregor, who played Beth, commented on her role in this film, and her later Best Actress AFI (Australian Film Institute) Award nomination for the part: ''Even I'm not sure who I was supposed to be. I only know I started off as a dead man's wife or mistress and everyone thinks I'm someone else...The whole nomination thing was ridiculous. If they didn't have enough roles to nominate, they could have just given someone the award."
