While setting the table for dinner during "We Don't Talk About Bruno", Pepa and Isabela briefly join hands and sing facing each other. They are the two of the gifted Madrigals who are expected to express their abilities only in pleasing forms. Both Abuela and Pepa try to stop Pepa from producing so much as a cloud. When Isabela joyously grows an extravaganza of any kind of flowering plant - instead of perfectly ordered conventionally pretty flowers - Abuela declares her "out of control". The other gifted family are under almost constant demand to use something like a 1,000% of their powers. This has been going on for each of them since they received their gifts at the age of five.
