Cerina Vincent (Suzy Diaz) was cast for the Pilot, but she was told she would be replaced if the show was picked up. Her agent told her they were looking for a Latina actress with a "more maternal look" and were actively holding auditions to replace her. Fortunately, they never found anyone they liked as much as her and she ended up keeping the part.
