The song Mundiyan was sampled from Punjabi MC song "Mundiyan To Bach Ke Rahi". Punjabi MC song was also included on the film "Boom" soundtrack. The source of inspiration for the Punjabi MC remix was Busta Rhymes song Fire It Up. Busta Rhymes had taken the theme music from the Knight Rider TV show and sampled the beat. The Knight Rider music was very popular in the 1980s. The Knight Rider theme music was later used as back ground music in the movie Patthar Ke Phool.
