Director Bill Bennett and cinematographer Malcolm McCulloch were anxious to plan everything meticulously for the film's climactic car crash scene which occurs at the end of a high speed car chase. This was in view of the narrow time frame for the window of opportunity that was available for the shot. The final crash had to take place just minutes before sunset. This is known as 'magic time' in cinematography, which is either an hour after sunrise or an hour before sunset. There was no room for error and no time for more than a couple of takes. For the last four days, the filmmakers had filmed all the lead-up shots just before the crash and all just before sundown. And now the whole day would be devoted to rehearsing and staging the stunt. And it all worked and went off without a hitch.
