Jack McBrayer was invited to audition for the role of Kenneth the Page by Tina Fey while on short trip to New York. McBrayer, who'd featured occasionally on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, remembered doing sketches dressed as a Page and called up the costume department of the show to see if they had any Page Uniforms for him to wear for the audition. McBrayer credits them with helping him land the role.
