The film and its source memoir's title, 'Working Class Boy', is a variation in wording of Jimmy Barnes' famous 'Working Class Man' (1985) song which itself has been the Australian title of an 1986 Hollywood movie comedy starring Michael Keaton and directed by Ron Howard [See: 'Working Class Man' (1986) (aka Gung Ho)]. Moreover, the 2017 book sequel to Barnes memoir is actually called 'Working Class Man' (2017).
