Sadie Sink said in an interview that she wore about a dozen different Walkman tape players over the course of the filming of season 4. Most were nonfunctional, playing no music at all, and the ones that did work had low quality, muddy audio, preventing her from getting sick of hearing Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill." She also said she broke three or four of them during filming, leaving the show's props team to craft one from Styrofoam for her, "and it was essential."
