In both this film and "Casino", Joe Pesci's character is involved in incidental conversation (background dialogue that has no bearing on the scene) in which he mocks another wiseguy for making a bad bet. In this film, he's talking to Frankie Carbone about a bet he made in the "numbers" lottery during the scenes in the Bamboo Lounge just before the famous "Am I Funny?" scene. In "Casino", he's mocking Frankie about guessing the wrong odds on a sporting bet just before the scene where Pesci stabs the guy in the throat with a pen.
