The part where Baloo scares Shanti (and Ranjan) was reused from Monsters & Co. (2001) where Sulley who is also voiced by John Goodman scares Boo. What's different about both those films is that here Baloo scares Shanti like what Mowgli wanted to while in Monsters & Co. (2001) Sulley scares Boo by mistake. And Goodman voiced both Baloo and Sulley, and the only difference is that Shanti is ten years old while Boo is two years old.
