When Bill Murray is lying in bed, he says "I hope the roof flies off and I get sucked up into space". The chorus of the song, "Wilson (Expensive Mistakes)" (2018) by the American rock band Fall Out Boy repeats this line. Fall Out Boy also has a song titled "Tell That Mick He Just Made My List Of Things To Do Today" (2001), which is similar to line that Jason Schwartzman's character says in Rushmore (1998), another Wes Anderson movie: "Tell that stupid Mick he just made my list of things to do today".
